SugarCat Simon's Web Site - of Feline Diabetes, a Diabetic cat, and the humans who love him
RainbowBridge
RainbowBridge a place where all the special animals go to wait for their special humans. For all of them it is paradise, or as a close as it can be until we join them (for then it will be truely paradise, for both of us)
We have it from the good authority of cat's who visit their humans while their humans dream that this is the most wonderful place in existence.

The catnip is a tall as an elephant's eye and the scent of catnip flats on the breeze.

It's always sunny and there are places to lay and nap in the sun. the food is just what they want and always available.

(But for those who like a bit of variety in their weather, there's a special place where they can go watch the rain come down or frolick in th falling snow - and when they are finished, they're instantly dried off.)

There are water bowls full of delicious cool water and for those who prefer theirs straight from the source there are sinks with constantly flowing faucets.

For the more resourceful cats, there are toilets, if they prefer that water source.

And muddy puddles for those who want a little more "body" to their drinks.

Favorite blankets, pillows, robes, sofa, chairs, and such are in abundant supply and no one ever gets upset if there's cat fur left around.

All diseases and injuries are cured upon arrival and all such things are forever banned.

There are dances everynight for those who danced around the house with their human - they have to keep in practice, for one day they'll need to be in top form.

There are birds galore to watch; mice to chase, butterflies to scamper after.

The cats want for one thing only, but they are content to wait.

And one day a certain feeling comes over them, they raise up and look around and in the distance, on the horizon, fast approaching, and calling their name is the special human with whom they lived.

They charge out to me you, bump your legs perhaps jump on your shoulders, each to their own way of greeting you.

Again you are together and never shall you be separated.

Some say  the Bridge is just this side of heaven and togther human and cat cross over.

Some say it is heaven. But heaven implies a God and judgments and such, and for some the whole God thing is something they can't accept  or understand.

I prefer to just think of it as just the place we go to rejoin our special animals, who shared our lives. Where none of the awful things that can hurt us are allowed and all the pleasures are abundant. Where we can once again sit with that special cat on our laps and wonder how in the world mankind ever got along before he took the cat into his life.

It's just the other side of the rainbow; turn left at the second star and on until morning.

Some say it's all around us, but we can't yet see it. Regardless, the Bridge exists and I look forward to rejoining the dogs I lived with as a boy (Yes, there are dogs there too. After all dogs are people too.  But they never ever hurt the cats, indeed many is the cat with a best buddy dog) and my Sugarcat when he leaves and all my other cats when their times come.

The Bridge is where you'll meet up with your special cat again.

They will have been waiting for you along with all your other special animals.

If a special animal has already left you, they are there now, napping in the sun, all those nasty medical problems gone away. They are happy, but they miss you. But they know they'll see you again and are content to wait. Good things are always worth waiting for.

And so it is at RainbowBridge for our Sugarcats.  Waiting for them are no more insulin syringes, no more glucose testing, no more concern over all the things that burden their lives.

For they must one day go there, and so shall we, it is where we will all be reunited, there at RainbowBridge

This wonderful place was first revealed to us by an unknown writer. No doubt they learned of it from a special cat of theirs who went on ahead of them.

This discription is my own. How I know such a place would be. Bob Novell

Why did it have to be you?"
